<p>Stephen volunteered to slice the vanilla beans open.</p>
<p><a href="http://lifelynstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/IMG_2843.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;" title="IMG_2843" src="http://lifelynstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/IMG_2843_thumb.jpg" alt="IMG_2843" width="604" height="454" border="0" /></a></p>
<p>They were put into a 1/2 gallon canning jar.  Vodka was added.</p>
<p><a href="http://lifelynstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/IMG_2844.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;" title="IMG_2844" src="http://lifelynstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/IMG_2844_thumb.jpg" alt="IMG_2844" width="604" height="454" border="0" /></a></p>
<p>We make 2 jars worth and it’s sitting in our canned cupboard.</p>
<p><a href="http://lifelynstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/IMG_2847.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;" title="IMG_2847" src="http://lifelynstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/IMG_2847_thumb.jpg" alt="IMG_2847" width="604" height="804" border="0" /></a></p>
<p>We’re supposed to give it a shake every once in a while.  Hopefully at the end of the year, we’ll have great vanilla to use as gifts.</p>
